The incomparable Randy "Elvis"
Friskie is touring with his Las Vegas Showband in Tribute To The King of Rock and
Roll - Elvis Presley. Friskie’s spine tingling performance brings the King
to life for an entire generation of people too young to have experienced Elvis when
he was alive, and for the legions of people who remember the anticipation of every
new record and movie.
Randy "Elvis" Friskie has been hailed as "The World’s Best
Elvis Tribute Act". He has enviably mastered Elvis in the three exciting stages
of his career, the fabulous 50’s, the spectacular 60’s, and the sensational
70’s.
Randy seemed destined to be a performer. Born into a musical family, he began singing
in his father’s country band at an exceptionally young age. A 12 year old
Randy Friskie experienced the thrill of a lifetime seeing Elvis perform live in
concert - thus changing Randy’s life forever.
By the age of 17, Randy began performing Elvis songs in a band he formed with his
brother. Audience response was overwhelming, leading Randy to audition for the "Elvis,
Elvis, Elvis" show. Randy was selected over dozens of applicants. While appearing
in that show, Randy was approached by Expo ‘86 officials asking him to create
his own show for the World’s Fair. Performing at Expo ‘86 to sold out
audiences for seven weeks straight, Randy’s career was launched and he never
looked back.
Randy starred in the movie, "It’s Only Make Believe", and has appeared
in numerous television and radio commercials. He has performed in Las Vegas and
Reno with "Legends In Concert", and "American Superstars." He
has also appeared with Bob Hope, Pat Boone, Bobby Curtola, Mickey Gilley, Donna
Presley (Elvis’ Cousin), Sam Orbison (Roy’s Brother), and Bill Burke
(editor of "Elvis World" and former publicist.)
The magical atmosphere and warmth that Randy creates captivates audiences with an
evening to remember.
Obviously humble, the soft spoken Friskie states, "I prefer to think of myself
as someone performing a tribute to the greatest performer that ever lived."
Steve Hillis dazzles audiences with his tribute to "The King of Country"
- Garth Brooks. Steve has mastered the look, stance, gestures and vocal styling
of Garth and is an outstanding addition to the show.
Cassandra Friskie is Randy’s daughter. This 12 year old singing sensation
will perform her tributes to Patsy Cline and Cher on the "Thats The Way It
Was Tour". Born into a musical family, Cassie showed a desire to be an entertainer
at an early age (just like her father). By the time she was three, she had a repertoire
of over 50 songs, which she never hesitated to perform, anytime - anywhere! This
upcoming tour will be a highlight for her, in an already busy and promising career.
