Tina Turner has the voice, the lips,
the big hair, the five-inch heels, the legs and the rock n’ roll attitude!
So does LUISA MARSHALL!
Luisa Marshall has been singing and dancing as Tina Turner for the past years, with
performances all over the world, including successful benefit shows for AIDS Vancouver,
Third World Eye Care, United Way, Loving Spoonful to name a few.
As a child growing up, Luisa aspired to become an actress. She made several unexpected
visits to a local film studio, only to be turned away by security each time.
At 17, she eventually got her chance to show her singing and acting skills when
she landed the role of ‘Mary Magdalene’ in the musical Jesus Christ
Superstar.
Her career in show business was put on hold when Luisa decided to further her studies.
She took up a course in Media and Advertising, where she graduated in the dean’s
list, surprising all her professors from the very strict Catholic university, as
she was a known rebel student who preferred denim jeans over the school uniform.
Singing eventually paved the way for Luisa to travel the world, including Japan,
Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Thailand, Canada and the US, as lead vocalist for touring
bands.
She eventually decided to get together with her two female siblings to form Hall
of Fame Band, which went on to, tour North America. Luisa started singing Tina Turner’s
great comeback hit, What’s Love Got To Do With It that same time and has been
singing the hit song ever since.
In 1995, while performing in Dubai, (United Arab Emirates) a fan from the audience
suggested to Luisa that she should wear a "Tina Turner" wig while singing
Proud Mary. Always willing to try something new, she went out on her own in the
hot summer desert to find that wig. The uncanny resemblance coupled with her strong
vocals was a big hit. Thus, All Hail the Queen was born!
Luisa Marshall has always looked up to Tina Turner’s life and career for inspiration.
In doing her tribute to the queen of rock n’ roll, Luisa pays her greatest
respect to the legend herself, Tina Turner who still is... simply the best!
“…from the voice, to the walk, to the shimmy…It’s like
watching the real Tina Turner.”
- Gloria Macarenko – Anchorwoman, Canada Now, CBC Television
"...It was a great evening at the Hilton Vancouver Airport celebrating the
"Hilton Connie Award" which recognized the hotel as the best in the Hilton
system. The conclusion of the evening with "All Hail the Queen"(Luisa
Marshall) was simply superb. Luisa's energy level, enthusiasm, and portrayal of
this great performer was well beyond our expectations. Going forward, the "Tina
Show" will be highly recommended by Hilton Hotels Corporation. Extremely well
done. All the Best!"
- Robert E Dirks, Senior Vice President, Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters
