The Access R&B Story
Two members Patrick Ronahan and Denis Pepin started the Access Rhythm and Blues band back in 1995. Both these players were very familiar with each other as their history of playing together dates back to the late 1970's. For the next 3 years this group was molded into a solid, high-energy dance band playing for private parties, charitable events and the local club scene. Since then Access R&B has become well known to the Vancouver dance scene and established themselves a one of the cities most sought after musical groups. The musical talent in this band includes professionals with a long history of playing the local Vancouver venues dating back to the 1970's. This band projects a big horn sound along with a great dance beat that will keep you grooving all night. With a song list that stems from the 50's to today's current hits, Access R&B has a versatility that will please listeners from all ages.Access R&B have and will continue to be:

Patrick Ronahan – Guitar / Vocals
Patrick began his musical life at an early age and was performing in public by the time he was twelve. He now brings over 30 years of experience to the group, ranging from playing in pubs and nightclubs to concert venues and recording. Patrick has studied voice and music through a variety of college programs, private tutors and his musical tastes are apparent in his guitar and vocal styles.

Denis Pepin – Guitar / Percussions / Vocals
Since the young age of 6 years old, Denis has spent most of his life playing a variety of musical instruments and styles. Drums have always been his passion thereby adding a strong percussive element along with rhythm guitar and a unique vocal talent to the bands sound. As one of the front men of this group, his ability to bring fun and movement makes him hard to miss.

Daryl Miller – Drums / Vocals
“Some of the great times are when you are on stage and people love what is coming off that stage.” Daryl has played on most of the stages in Vancouver with a variety of bands such as: The R&B Allstars, Brandywine, New Breed, Kentish Steele and the Shantelles, Public I, The Vancouver Band, Popcorn and Gibraltar. Daryl has been playing music and been in bands since he was 13 years old. He has played every kind of music but loves anything that has a groove with horns in it!

George Goodall – Bass Guitar
For the over 33 years George has been playing music and has made this industry his career. From his early days of playing the back road Alberta clubs and cabarets to having a hit single with Mustard Record recording artists "Footloose", George is a multi-styled, multi-talented musician. His expertise and playing ability helps put a distinct driving sound behind this exciting group.

John Timms – Keyboards / Vocals
John started his professional music career as a keyboardist over 25 years ago. During that time he performed in numerous bands in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. John has played a variety of musical styles including rock, funk disco and rhythm and blues.

Chuck Siggs – Baritone Sax / Tenor Sax
Born and Raised in Vancouver to a musical family, Chuck began playing Sax in 1965 and joined his first R&B group in 1967. In the late 60’s his 10-piece group became very popular with the club scene at Hotel Vancouver, Bayshore Inn and the Grooveyard. Chuck has played with many professional musicians such as: Tommy Stewart “Trooper”, Colin Weinmaster and Terry Iverson of Rhythm and Blues All Stars.

Len Macdonald - Trumpet
At the age of 9, Len started playing the Trumpet at Windsor Elementary School and by age 11, he joined the New Westminster District Concert Band which spanned for 9 years. After winning the Top Musician Award at Burnaby South High, Len spent 2 years enrolled in a Bachelor of Music Program at Douglas College playing in the Concert, Jazz and Brass Quartet. Know by many as “Hotlips Lenny”, he has played in several musicals such as “Bye Bye Birdie”, “Boyfriend” and “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Aaron Hardie – Tenor Sax / Alto Sax
Aaron Hardie is a Vancouver based saxophonist who plays in various large and small ensemble situations. He also leads his own jazz combo, which performs his origional compositions as well as jazz standards. While completing his Bachelor of Music degree in jazz studies at Capilano College, Aaron held lead alto chair in the College A Band under the direction of Brad Turner, where he played with such jazz greats as Kenny Werner, Ian Mcdougall and Kurt Elling. Aaron also received his diploma in jazz performance at Selkirk College, Nelson B.C.

Chad Smith – Tenor Sax
Chad is a talented and charismatic saxophonist whose previous experience includes cruise ship performances and working with various jazz and R&B ensembles throughout the lower mainland. Chad has obtained a diploma in jazz performance from Capilano College in North Vancouver
